You don't have to go alone; I'll walk with you.
Healing is here, and it's waiting for you.
You don't have to go alone; I'll walk with you.
You don't have to go alone; I'll walk with you.
You don't have to go alone; I'll walk with you.
Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.
Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!
My name is Xingyue, I am a Death Doula and Certified Grief Coach. I have training in several areas such as pediatric hospice and palliative care, ambiguous loss, suicide loss, and loss as a result of trauma.
Death is an absolute. It will inevitably visit everyone, directly or indirectly. My goal is to help my clients navigate through the grief, not ignore it. We experience grief because we loved.
How we experience grief is unique to us. There is no right or wrong way. All emotions are normal, allowed, and valid. I want to be there to listen to you, support you, hold space for you, and facilitate growth through this experience.
A Deathwalker can be defined as someone who walks with death. Someone who understands mortality and is familiar with the dying process. Deathwalkers often possess a deeper comprehension of the ephemeral nature of life. A Deathwalker is not simply aware of death; they are actively engaged with it, either directly or indirectly.
Death can be frightening, and I don't expect you to have to be brave at first - I'll do that for you. I'm here to empower you, and understandably, that can take some time. I'm here for as long as you need me and I'll be strong for you when the weight is just too much to bear.
Although I cannot rescue you from your pain, I will sit with you, offering my light and unconditional understanding.
A Death Doula is someone who assists individuals and their families through the dying process, during and after. We are non-medical personnel, we do not administer medications, and we are bound by the NEDA (National End of Life Doula Alliance) code of ethics and scope of practice guidelines. Where a nurse's job ends, mine begins. My job is not to keep you alive, but to assist you during the dying process. Traveling this path can be frightening. Emotions can change from day to day. I will be there to hold your hand, guide you through the process, answer your questions and your family's questions to the best of my ability. I offer guidance, comfort, advocacy, and my goal is to make the transition for you as meaningful and peaceful as possible.
As a Grief Coach, I'm here to journey with you, validate and encourage you to embrace your feelings, and coach you from pain to peace. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. There is no handbook on how you "should" feel. There is no time limit on grief. As a Grief Coach, I will help you through exercises, meditation, active listening, and other tools to find your happiness again. It's ok to address the elephant in the room, so to speak, in my presence. Grief looks different for everyone. I respect and understand that people come from different cultures and beliefs and religions - you'll always have a safe space with me. You'll never hear me say, " That was so long ago, why are you still dwelling on that?" or "Haven't you gotten over these feelings? It's been 5 years." Sometimes, our support system breaks down. Soon after death, everyone begins to forget. People stop calling to check up on you. Life goes on for them. But what if you're stuck? Grief is a process. You can find hope again and embrace your future.
